Who We Are

The Sierra Leonean Students' Union in Hungary brings together Sierra Leoneans studying at universities across this country. We are at institutions in every part of Hungary, and the Union is what connects us to one another.
We help new students settle, share the opportunities that shape a career, support members through difficulty, and bring people together so that studying abroad does not mean doing it alone. The Union is open to every Sierra Leonean student in Hungary, without discrimination of any kind.

Our Mission And Vision

One home for everyone
Students, graduates and the leadership all use the same platform, each seeing what is meant for them. Nobody is running a second system on the side.
Nothing gets lost
Announcements, events and opportunities live in one place, ready whenever you open the app, so a deadline or a gathering is never something you hear about too late.
Lead with clear facts
A clear picture of who our students are and where they study, so the Union can speak to universities, the Embassy and partners with evidence rather than guesses.
What we stand for

Unity, Excellence, And Love

Our motto is not decoration. It is the test we hold ourselves to: that members support one another, that we push each other to do well academically, and that nobody is treated differently because of where they come from, what they believe, or who they are.
The Union is open to Sierra Leonean students at every institution in Hungary, on scholarship or self-funded, and stays out of party politics at home.

Meet The Leadership

The four people you are most likely to deal with, and what each of them looks after.
President
Leads the Union and represents it to universities, the Embassy and partner organisations.
Vice President
Supports the President and takes the lead on the Union’s day-to-day work.
Secretary General
Keeps the Union’s records, arranges meetings, and handles official correspondence.
Minister of Finance
Looks after the Union’s funds, collects contributions, and reports back to members.
